Abstract:
This data set displays CT public school districts from 2008 displaying Elementary Schools. Data includes district codes, town names, and town numbers. The data was created using 2008 education information. There are two fields for District Codes (Numeric and Text), the numeric can be used for joining/ relating data the text field gives the full (3 digit) code. The data set contains 159 districts/regional zones and the inherent codes.
Purpose:
The data was created to allow users to browse the state elementary school districts by age group, town, or district code.
Supplemental_Information:
Connecticut schools vary greatly between which age groups they serve so the schools are based off the youngest age group they taught. Elementary schools serve Pre-kindergarden through grade five mostly. Some schools are PK-3 or gardes 1-5.

All attributes have valid values. Values are within defined domains. No rigid attribute accuracy tests were conducted. The ditrict codes for the reion and school codes were manually entered. Town name and number were not manually entered.

Establishment of logical consistency was performed by the State of Connecticut, Department of Environmental Protection using ESRI ArcGIS software. No automated procedures or tests were performed to guarantee desired topology other than visual inspection.
Completeness_Report:
This data set was built for CT public schools only. Connecticut Magnet Schools, Vocational Schools, Tech Schools, and Private schools were not included in this data set.
