The University of Connecticut Libraries’ Map and Geographic Information Center (MAGIC) is collaborating with the Office of Study Abroad Programs to develop a collection of Rough Guides travel guides and maps to assist students with exploring areas of current focus. The Rough Guides were selected as they provide a student with detailed information on cultural events, museums, attractions, and a variety of maps designed to help students prepare for their study abroad experience.

This collection is being developed to support the UConn Academic Plan’s goal to expand undergraduate student participation in study aboard program and is focused on cities and countries currently included within the Study Abroad program. In the coming months, more resources will become available as we add more travel guides and maps to this collection. We are also working on providing easier ways to locate and explore these materials.
