Description:

Abstract:

This data set displays CT county population projections for 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020, 2025, and 2030. Data includes county codes, county names, and the county population projections. The data set has the 8 counties of Connecticut and the county codes for each.

Purpose:

The data was created to allow users to analyze and interpret the projected county population trends for 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020, 2025, and 2030. In addition to analysis and interpretation, users may also construct maps to better visualize the data.

Supplemental_Information:

Connecticut counties vary greatly in terms of population and each county exhibits varioius population changes over the time periods.

All attributes have valid values. Values are within defined domains. Once the attribute join of county name in the in the county shapefile was completed with the county name of the population projection database file was completed a visual inspection of the values was conducted to ensure accuracy.

Logical_Consistency_Report:

Establishment of logical consistency was performed by the State of Connecticut, Department of Environmental Protection using ESRI ArcGIS software. No automated procedures or tests were performed to guarantee desired topology other than visual inspection.
